- When Will Construction Begin?
The exact date will depend on two factors. The first is how
quickly we can raise funds. Our goal is not to borrow money.
Therefore, we will need to build some capital before
construction begins. The second
factor will be construction management
issues such as timing
of work drawings, contracts and
permitting issues. Our objective
is to break ground in the spring.
- What will be the order of individual projects?
We will build the student center first. After the student center is completed, the old education space will be demolished. Next, work will begin on children and preschool worship space. Our goal is to begin making upgrades to the sanctuary about the same time. Those projects will be followed by the expansion of the foyer area and interactive
mission center. The typical complexities associated with managing four different projects may cause the timingand sequencing to be slightly modified if necessary.
- What are the plans for financing?
Our current debt is handled within our operating budget. Since we cannot do everything at exactly the same time and we do not want to take on any additional debt, we will seek to pay for this project as we go. Our First Fruits offering that will be contributed on November 18th is very important! We need to raise a significant amount of capital funds up front so that work can begin in the spring.
