A Letter from Dr. Hamlet

Dear Church Family,

In Revelation 3:8 the Lord says to the church at Philadelphia, "Behold I have put before you an open door, which no one can shut, you have a little power, and have kept My word, and have not denied My name." This verse is a favorite of mine because it is a constant reminder of the opportunity the Lord has given to us to tell the story.

I am so grateful that here at First Baptist North Spartanburg many stories have already been told which have significantly impacted countless lives. I believe as we are faithful to tell the story, we can be confident the Lord will honor our efforts both locally and globally. This summer we have seen a small glimpse of our future as we saw those who came to faith through our summer program. Already stories from these new believers are being shared with others and on it goes. Telling the Story...Touching the Future is the theme of our capital campaign in which we prepare to boldly walk into our future. The projects and programs identified with this campaign are critical and will benefit our entire fellowship. This is a very exciting time in the life of our church, and it is our prayer that the Lord will prompt His people to partner together in order to make an impact for the Lord. I believe with all of my heart that we have an open door that no man can shut.
As you read through this website, you will see a picture of our heritage and a vision for our future. We have only just begun to see what God wants to do with our fellowship.

As we continue to "tell the story'" we will walk with confidence and expectation into the future.

His and yours,
Michael S. Hamlet
Senior Pastor
